Our Story

Built from the inside.

Art Trackers was founded by David Daw — not as a technology project, but as a practical answer to a problem he had lived firsthand across more than twenty years working at the intersection of community and government.

Founding Story

David had seen what happens when public art records are kept on spreadsheets that outlive the staff member who built them. He had watched agencies scramble to prove provenance during audits. He had seen artists sell work and lose all connection to it the moment it walked out of the studio. He had watched community members stand in front of extraordinary public artworks with no way to learn their story.

The technology to solve all of this — NFC chips, cloud databases, real-time provenance tracking — already existed. It just had not been assembled in one place, built for the specific reality of how government arts administrators actually work.

Art Trackers is that assembly.
