Pierre Etienne Goujon (1875–1914) and Lily Goujon (née Reinach, 1885–1971), before 1914; their sale, Hotel Drouot, Paris, Mar. 28, 1919, lot 71bis (hors catalogue). Possibly Galerie Druet, Paris [according to London 1967 and email correspondence with Marina Ducrey, Nov. 29, 2018, in curatorial object file]. Mrs. R. G. Wood, by 1967; sold, Sotheby's, London, Nov. 29, 1967 to Walter Feilchenfeldt, Zurich; sold to Mary Runnells (died 1977), 1968 [letter from Mrs. Walter Feilchenfeldt to Mary Runnells, Oct. 2, 1968, in curatorial object file]; bequeathed to the Art Institute of Chicago, 1977.
