    Presumably Potter Palmer (died 1902), Chicago; his widow, Bertha Honoré Palmer (died 1918) [lent by her to Chicago 1910]; by descent to her great-grandson Gordon Palmer (died 1964); his widow Janis H. Palmer (died 1984); bequeathed to the Art Institute, 1985.
