    Looking for a Monastery in the Misty Mountains

    Inscriptions

    Artist's inscription, signature, and 2 seals: Row after row of misty trees envelop the Buddhist Monastery. But the rustic who comes to find it will not lose his way. Just across the wooden bridge, the dusty world is cut off; Among the countless falling petals, birds are singing confusedly. Daofu 道複 composed [this]. [seals] Fufu shi 復甫; Baiyang shanren 白陽山人. (translation by Wai-Kam Ho and Ling-yün (Nora) Shih Liu); 3 additional unidentified seals.; 1 additional unidentified seal on the back of the mounting.
