About This Work
A large-format intricate hand-cut paper work drawing on the artist's Japanese American heritage, her family's WWII imprisonment history, and her Pacific Northwest upbringing.
About the Artist
Lauren Iida (b. 1984) creates community engagement-focused work and public art installations. Her work is influenced by her decade-long residence in Cambodia and her Japanese American heritage. Her works on paper are collected by the City of Bellevue, ArtsWA, Seattle Public Utilities, and the Wing Luke Museum.
