What you need to know before you register.
Can I register artwork I made years ago?
Yes. There is no restriction on how old an artwork can be. You enter the original creation year at registration. The AT-ID is assigned to the artwork's creation date, not today.
Do I need an NFC tag to register?
No. Registration and the AT-ID are separate from the physical tag. You can register now and order a tag later. The AT-ID is permanent from the moment of registration.
Can I register work I have already sold?
Yes. You register as the creator, not the current owner. Enter the buyer's name or 'private collection' as the current location. Your authorship is permanently attached regardless of who owns the work.
What is an AT-ID?
A unique, permanent identifier assigned to your artwork for life. It works like a VIN for a car or an ISBN for a book — it travels with the artwork through every sale, loan, and ownership transfer.
After Registration
What owning your record means long term.
What if my NFC tag is lost or damaged?
Order a replacement from your dashboard. The replacement is programmed with the same AT-ID. Your artwork record and provenance history are unaffected — they live in the platform, not on the physical tag.
Can I update my artwork record after publishing?
Yes. Description, photos, documents, location, and optional fields are editable at any time. Your AT-ID and original creation record are permanent.
What happens if I sell my artwork?
When a sale is recorded through the platform, the ownership field updates. Your name and creation record remain permanently attached. The buyer can verify the work by scanning the tag.
What happens to my AT-IDs if I cancel my account?
AT-IDs are permanently assigned and cannot be reallocated. Contact support before cancelling to discuss archive and export options.
Is my artwork data backed up?
Yes. All records are stored securely with automated daily backups. Your data does not live on the physical tag.
